We are what we eat, right? Eating properly is not a simple biological act but also of personal and collective awareness and responsibility, which also offers us the opportunity to know part of the history and culture of a place through its food.
Alpinavera is one of the four organizations of the Association of Swiss regional products, which is in charge of the approval and verification of the information of the manufacturers of the canton Graubünden (in which the Val Müstair biosphere is located) to obtain the "regio.garantie" label.
Obtaining this label certifies the product's compliance with the following indicators:

Agricultural products come from the region and their ingredients correspond to the original producer.
Non-combined products, such as milk or wheat are of 100% local origin while combined products, such as jams or beverages must guarantee that at least 80% of their ingredients are of local origin and that the raw material of the product comes from the region.
At least 2/3 of the added value of the product must be generated locally.
The manufacture of products is governed by sustainability principles and regional economic development.
The producer supports the accomplishment of the national park objectives.
